We're Still Here

What a strange and wild year it’s been. We haven’t done a single wedding or event this year due to COVID but were able to move almost all our bookings to next year.

We’ve luckily been able to stay relatively healthy throughout this awful pandemic, and hope you’ve all been as lucky.

We’re still taking bookings for 2021 and 2022. Please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!

Happy New Year

Posted on

Happy new year everyone! We’re waking Winnie up from her Winter hibernation to get her looking nice for our first date of 2019 which will be an open day at The Compasses At Pattiswick on Saturday 16th February.

For first time in three years we are raising our prices by £50. This is due to the increase in the cost of printing, transport and insurance.

Looking forward to meeting you all in 2019.

Beware of imitators!

It appears that, unfortunately, some of our competitors have not only taken inspiration from Winnie (flattering though this is) but have also, frankly, stolen from us. We put a lot of time and effort in to our website and Facebook presence and to have that flagrantly ripped off is disappointing. One has to wonder about the integrity of people who would seek to compete with us by cheaply copying our website and changing some names.

Winnie is a labour of love for us. We put our hearts and souls in to dressing her and selecting just the right props to create her unique look and feel. It’s more than just a business, we genuinely want to add a little magic to any event we’re at. We often say that the best part of our job is standing outside and hearing the roars of laughter within.

Winnie The original, and the loveliest ;)

We can finally break our silence! Winnie was the star of the show at a recent photo and video shoot for EE. We’ve been told the photos will be ‘everywhere’, so keep an eye out. Fingers crossed for some television exposure! Now you can have a media star as the photo booth at your wedding or party!

Gearing up for the 2018 wedding season!

Posted on

It’s 2018 already! Winnie had a good rest over the winter. We gave her a good clean and she warmed up for the year with The Compasses At Pattiswick Open Day back in  February. This weekend sees her in action for the first time at Claire and Richard’s wedding in Surrey. On Sunday we’re in Braintree for Faye and Joe. We can’t wait to meet the couples and bring some Winnie photo booth fun and magic to their weddings.

Our prices remain frozen for 2018 and 2019. We have a few dates left this year, and 2019 is filling up fast so if you’ve been considering Winnie please get in touch.

Gearing up for wedding season 2017

Winnie has been keeping warm and dry over the winter and she’s now getting ready for her first wedding on Good Friday, 14th April. From there she’ll be busy right up to the end of October.

We attended a wedding fair the delightful venue, The Compasses at Pattiswick, where we met lots of lovely people and got to show off our indoor photo booth setup. It’s a trifold wall as backdrop decorated like your Gran’s living room. Perfect if the weather is especially poor, though Winnie does of course have an awning and an array of umbrellas, so don’t let the chance of rain put you off!

In terms of the photo booth, we’ve been upgrading the hardware to give a better experience to everyone lucky enough to visit Winnie. We’re building some bespoke ‘furniture’ to hide all the wires and equipment making her even more pleasing to the eye.

Winnie herself is getting a new floor, a good deep-clean and some fresh paint.

We still have some weekend dates available over this summer so don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of booking Winnie as we’re filling up fast. We’re also starting to get bookings for 2018, and even a couple for 2019, so please get in touch if you’re interested so we can pencil you in our diary.

Winnie is getting all decked out in boughs of holly for her first Christmas Fayre. The Parlour Cafe at Creeksea in Burnham-on-Crouch is holding its annual Christmas market on December 4th and 5th and Winnie will be there to add to the festive atmosphere.

Why not come along in your best Christmas jumper and have your picture taken in Winnie’s photo booth free of charge surrounded by vintage charm. A great way to test drive her if you’re considering Winnie for a wedding or party.

Winnie had a wonderful time at her first Wedding Fayre at The Compasses at Pattiswick. We had lots of photos of her in her splendor all lit up in the evenings. We had her all set up as the photo booth which lots of people enjoyed trying.

We met some wonderful couples, their bridesmaids, and families. This is a truly delightful venue and we’re so grateful to have been invited. We’ve already got a few bookings for here next year!

About our photo printer

Picture from About our photo printer

What’s the use of having a photo booth at your wedding or party without a nice physical print in your hands? To us the physical product is everything. We work really hard to make Winnie as beautiful to look at as she is to experience. And we want that work to live on. So when we started we put a lot of care and attention in to our printing process.

Winnie uses one of the latest event dye sublimation printers on the market. It’s designed to be stable and fast, printing each photo in under fifteen seconds.

Dye sublimation uses heat to transfer dye from a ribbon on to the photo paper. It is a dry process and includes a protective coating. This way we guarantee no smudged images and a resistance to fingerprints. The process is ‘lab quality’ meaning they’re as good as you’d get from your local chemist or supermarket, and with care should last for decades. As with any photograph, we recommend keeping them out of direct sunlight for long periods of time.

We can only suggest you hire Winnie for your wedding or party and see for yourself!
